    Description


    Tantalum is dense, ductile, very hard, easily fabricated, and highly conductive of heat and electricity and is featured the third highest melting point 2996℃ and high boiling point 5425℃. It has the characteristics of high temperature resistance, high corrosion resistance, cold machining and good welding performance. Therefore, tantalum and its alloy are widely used in electronics, semiconductor, chemical, engineering, aviation, aerospace, medical, military industry etc. The application of tantalum will be more and more widely used in more industry with the technology progress and innovation. It can be found in cell phones, laptops, game systems, automotive electronics, light bulbs, satellite components and MRI machines.


    Tantalum sheet is used in chemical process equipment, cathodic protection systems for steel structures such as bridges, water tanks, prosthetic devices for humans like hips, plates in the skull, suture clips, corrosion resistant fasteners, screws, nuts, bolts, high temperature furnace parts and high temperature alloys for air and land based turbines. Tantalum sheets can be deformed very well, whether for punching, cutting, deep drawing or pressing

    The tantalum plate, sheet, strip and foil surface should be smooth, clean, greaseless, without fissure or burr, no mess around, no knotting, no crossover, no continuous pitches or scratches. Most foils are produced from cast ingots which are used in coating and thin film.
